Porsche 911 GT3
The Porsche 911 GT3 is one of
the greatest sports cars Porsche has ever built although not quite
as powerful as the Porsche 911 Turbo or GT2, it has the most powerful
naturally aspirated 6 cylinder on any production car producing
415hp.
Racing versions of
the 911 GT3 have also been very successful ,winning the 24 hours of Nurburgring, the 24 hour of Spa, and the 24 hours of
Daytona numerous times. Inside the roadgoing version, the cabin is very luxurious with
leather seats and an optional Navigation System on the newer model
but these features can all be selected as no-cost options expect
Navigation.
Although the GT3 has many
luxury features, it was made for racing as it has many
performance features such as an advanced adjustable suspension and
advanced aerodynamics. With these features the GT3 has gone around
the world famous Nurburgring race track in a quick 7:42 which was
achieved by Porsche Official Test Driver Walter Rohrl. This record
has only been beat by a handful of cars.
Last October, the new and revised Porsche 911 GT3 arrives. The new 3.8
liter naturally aspirated engine gets 20 horsepower more bringing the total
to 435 horsepower and the stability control can now be completely
disabled. The front suspension lifts the GT3 1-inch higher if
required. This all comes at a price of about $112,000US.
