The Mercedes-Benz SLR McLaren is a high end Supercar
with cutting edge technology such as a pair of eight piston front calipers that can withstand temperatures of
over 1000C (1832F) and can Generate deceleration force of up to 1.3G.
Also, the spoiler is an airbrake that activates when the brake pedal
is heavily pushed or when the car is above 95km/h (59mph). The engine is a
626bhp Supercharged V8. The SLR also has advanced driver aids to
harness this horsepower such as Electronic Stability Program and Sensotronic brake control. Performance figures are on high even for
a Supercar with 0-96km/h (60mph) in 3.1 Seconds and a top speed of
378km/h (235mph).
In 2006 the 722 version debuted representing
the 722 number racecar driver
Stirling Moss drove to victory in the 1955 Millie Miglia. There are
engine tweaks boosting power to 650hp plus some suspension, brake,
and aerodynamic modifications.
