Bugatti Veyron
Fitted with a quad turbos and a huge W16
engine, the Bugatti Veyron is one of the ultimate autos of all time.
Everything about the car is ultimate such as: 987hp sent to all 4
wheels, brakes that can stop the car from 400km/h (200mph) to a
standstill in 10 seconds flat, 14 inch wide rear tires, and a heavy
price tag of $1.5million USD. With the W16 engine, acceleration
times are unbelievable with 96km/h (60mph) coming in just 2.5
seconds and by the 6 second mark 160km/h (100mph) is
past as the car accelerates to its proven 407km/h (253mph) top speed.
The
7-speed sequential direct-shift gearbox is very advanced with the
ability to shift without any interruption of engine power which
allows the car to accelerate uninterrupted from a dead stop to top
speed. Since it has debuted, several models of the Veyron have been
released: Pur Sang, Fbg par Hermes Sang Noir, and the newest model the Grandsport.
The Bugatti Veyron 16.4 Grand Sport unveiled at the Pebble Beach Concours d'Elegance is Bugatti newest car and
is now the fastest roadster at 220mph without the top or 253mph with the
top. The Grand Sport is more than a targa Veyron, as it has many
modifications to ensure the safety of open top driving. The
modifications include a higher windshield and structural
reinforcements around the transmission tunnel and B pillars. The
Grand Sport also has new features such as an rearview camera and an
new sound system. The Bugatti Veyron Grand Sport go on sale in
March 2009 at an price of 1.4 million euros and only 150 Grand
Sports will be made and they will be sold to Bugatti Customers
already owing a Bugatti Veyron.
